SPIRITUAL SENSITIVITY

God wants us to know all things, he has anointed us to know all things 1John 2:20, in this present age, God is has revealed the mystery Colo 1:24-27 EPH 1:6-8.God is ALWAYS speaking but most of us are not hearing because we’re not sensitive. 1 Tim 4:1-2, we don’t hear because we have our hearts hardened due to what we are mindful of, what we have our mind set on. WHAT IS SPIRITUAL SENSITIVITY? This is being AWEAR of the spirit realm. It is being deliberately CONSCIOUS of the things of the spirit. Spiritual things are that which we cannot see and touch but it is REAL. WHY DO WE NEED TO BE SENSITIVE? As believers, we are sons and daughters of God and we have to know the mind and will of God per time Rom 8:14 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God”. We are spiritual beings and we are to live after the spirit Rom 8:13, Gal 5:16. HOW TO BE SPIRITUALLY SENSITIVE: 1- YIELDING YOURSELF TO THE SPIRIT= Romans 12:1-2, Isa 55:3= 2- PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT (speaking in tongues)=Rom 8:26-27= 3- MEDITATE ON THE WORD OF GOD =psalm 119:105, John 6:63= 4- MINDING THE THINGS OF THE SPIRIT== gal 5:16== 5- CONSISTENT FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD -the more we fellowship with God through meditation of the Word and praying in other tongues, the more tender and sensitive that believer becomes to the holy spirit, this helps us to be full of the spirit. 6- INSTANT OBEDIENCE to promptings and impression in your spirit. WHAT CAN STOP US FROM BEING SENSITIVE: “UNBELIEF”: Heb 11:6. JAMES 1:7-8 Matt 15:8 CONCLUSION: This Is A Time Where We Need To Be Sensitive To God, God Wants To Flow Through Us To Minister To A Lot Of People, Lets Yield Ourselves To The Holy Spirit And Become A Useable Vessel Of God

INTERPRETATION OF TONGUES AND PROPHESYING.

When we pray in tongues (either willfully or prompted by the Holy Spirit) we may be thanking God, interceding for someone or PROPHESYING, nobody understands us for we speak not to men but to God. As we pray in tongues, God may be ministering to someone in the congregation and SINCE WE DON’T UNDERSTAND, HOW THEN DO WE KNOW WHAT GOD IS SAYING AND TO WHO??? 1COR 14:9 & 13.This is one of the reasons we need to interpret tongues. When we gather together to fellowship and you yield yourself to the Holy Spirit to flow through you and then when you speak in tongues and someone else in the congregation who is sensitive interprets and if the message is about what will happen in the future then it is a prophecy. A PROPHECY is a message that tells you what will happen in the nearest future or sometime later. NOTE STRONGLY that the scriptures hold a whole lot of prophecy about us and it is a sure word from God because it wasn’t written by man’s understanding but from God 2 PET 1:19-21, we are sure that whatever is written there will come to pass. PALMS 138:2 WHY DID PAUL URGE US TO STRONGLY DESIRE PROPHECY? 1COR 14:1-5. When we come to service, we come to sharpen ourselves and to be encouraged and edified and if everyone is just speaking and no understands, no one is edified or encouraged, then why gather together. BUT IF SOMEONE SPEAKS IN A CLEAR LANGUAGE THAT EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS AND EVERYONE IS BEING MINISTERED TO then the purpose of gathering is being met. 1COR 14:18-19, 1COR 14:6 this is prophecy because everyone understands and is edified. That’s why Paul urges us to desire to prophesy in other that the reason why we gather is fulfilled. 1COR 14:39 HOW THEN CAN WE INTERPRET TONGUES AND PROPHESY? SENSITIVITY: YIELD yourself to the Holy Spirit and always be ready, knowing fully well that the Holy Spirit can flow through you anytime. FAITH: you must completely have faith in God, trusting and believing what he reveals to you weather’s an interpretation or prophecy. LOVE: this is quite important, if you don’t have love and not just any kind of love, the kind of love Jesus commanded us to have (AGAPE LOVE) you may not flow in any spiritual gift. 1JN 3:23 & JN 13:34 Paul explain this in 1COR 13. CONCLUSION: we should all eagerly desire to prophecy and interpret tongues because it will help a whole lot of people and it will fully define what Christianity is all about which is the fact that it is not a religion, it is life and the life is all about caring for one another just the way Christ did, that why we’re Christians, like Christ.

WHEN YOU BECOME TOO BIG FOR GOD (part 1)

This is a true life story of a guy about 22year old, he became too big for God because of the gospel truth, hear him in his own words.....After i understood the gospel and the fact that i am a son of God, joint heir with christ, seated in heavenly places, i have the God head living in me, that i am already blessed through christ jesus, i loved it, i was happy, really happy, it's a done deal, i said to myself "i don't need to pray and ask God for anything"....this was where i missed it, i communicated even less with God, it got to a time i didn't even talk to God at all, i believe all has been done (which is true) and this made me acknowledge God less in my ways and dealing, it made me lazy...

PRAYING IN TONGUES (THE FOUNDATION)

first of all, as a believers, we have the holy spirit dwelling in us, after we believed and accepted the payment of our sins by our lord Jesus Christ, we're automatically recieve the holyspirit in our hearts. "In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise," (Ephesians 1:13). "who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee." (2 Corinthians 1:22). "Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us." (Romans 5:5) Many people think it is when they are prayed upon to recieve the holy spirit, that is when they recieve it, scriptures have showed that our bodies is the temple of God and we have the holy spirit dwelling in us. "Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?" (1 Corinthians 3:16).

PRAYING IN TONGUES HOW?

Now that we understand that we have the holy spirit indwelling in us, let talk about praying in tongues. praying in tongues is speaking in an unknown tongue (to men) and known (to God). Praying in tongues help us pray in accordance to God's WILL, it edifies and builds us. "Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God." (Romans 8:26-27). Praying in tongues is not hard, all u have to do is 1- believe that u have the holy spirit in you and begin to speak. 2- Your mind will tell u that it is not making sense at all, don't listen to your mind, just keep on speaking, 3-you may be saying only one word, don't stop, just continue because u grow from there. 4- whenever you want to pray, pray in tongues and do it everytime you want to commune with God and you'll be more sensitive to the spirit. Once u desire to truly speak in tongues, the holy spirit will help u, u are not alone in this, God is with you all the way. "Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy." (1 Corinthians 14:1).
